Primary Wilderness Therapist Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000   New Vision Wilderness (NVW), located in Medford, Wisconsin, is the premiere wilderness therapy intervention for struggling teens, pre-teens, and their families. With our relational approach and unique programming, NVW is the home of cutting-edge trauma-informed care & wilderness intervention. The Academic Specialist is a core member of the New Vision Wilderness Experiential Services Department and Leadership Team.  The mission of the Academic Specialist is to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the academic journeys of each of our students through curriculum creation and implementation, transcript tracking and communication with families and student’s home schools. The Academic Specialist will work closely with treatment team members including Primary Therapist as well as Field Specialist to provide individualized education instruction for each student that considers learning struggles, clinical goals, and treatment objectives. The Academic Specialist will also be integral in supporting Mastery, Canine Therapy, Adventure Education and Stewardship Opportunities. New Vision Wilderness Academy operates year-round and strives to support the academic process of our students by providing experiential learning that facilitates the continuation of their education. In addition to our therapeutic objectives, we offer opportunities for credit recovery and academic growth based on the individual needs of each client.
