The Academic Specialist is a core member of the New Vision Wilderness Experiential Services Department and Leadership Team. The mission of the Academic Specialist is to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the academic journeys of each of our students through curriculum creation and implementation, transcript tracking and communication with families and student’s home schools. The Academic Specialist will work closely with treatment team members including Primary Therapist as well as Field Specialist to provide individualized education instruction for each student that considers learning struggles, clinical goals, and treatment objectives. The Academic Specialist will also be integral in supporting Mastery, Canine Therapy, Adventure Education and Stewardship Opportunities. New Vision Wilderness Academy operates year-round and strives to support the academic process of our students by providing experiential learning that facilitates the continuation of their education. In addition to our therapeutic objectives, we offer opportunities for credit recovery and academic growth based on the individual needs of each client.
New Vision Wilderness (NVW) is an industry leading, year round outdoor behavioral healthcare program for teens and their families. At New Vision, we believe that a relationally based approach, that is rooted in a deep understanding of development and neurobiology is the key to change and the route to healthy lives for our students and their families.
The Field Specialist is a core member of the NVW Field Leadership team who supports all aspects of field operations for the group(s) they are assigned. The Field Specialist acts as a bridge between the clinical and direct care teams to ensure everyone is working towards the same goals. Field Specialists grow strong Therapeutic Relationships with the students in our care and are integral players throughout a students journey at NVW.
Field Instructor
Salary range: $49,000 - $55,000

- Director of Business Development (DBD) reports to the Admissions Director
- The mission of the Director of Business Development is driving outreach activities (i.e. networking events, phone, mail, email, social media campaigns, and/or attends conferences and professional development events) while marketing to multiple referral partners including; educational consultants, clinicians, schools, hospitals, attorneys and other treatment providers, as needed.
- This position requires the Director of Business Development to maintain high levels of engagement and collaboration with Executive Director, Sales and Marketing personnel and the teams of all three locations to ensure the programs are coordinated in their outreach efforts.
- DBD manages social media on all platforms. Maintains a social media content calendar. Solicits content from other staff regularly.
- Ensures website is up to date, SEO is optimized.
- Engages in omni channel marketing activities within a targeted market.
- Audience include Psychiatrists, educational consultants, clinicians, schools, youth agencies, youth pastors, police, hospitals, civic organizations, government agencies, PTO’s attorneys and other adolescent focused treatment providers and community stakeholders.
- Extensive use of a CRM (SalesForce) and other technologies, as well as exceptional writing, presentation, and networking capabilities.
- DBD is also responsible for doing admissions, which includes gathering information from clients, families, and referrals while ensuring impeccable customer service in an attempt to facilitate a smooth enrollment process if appropriate. The Director of Business Development works closely with the Admissions Director, Executive Director, and Clinical Director to assess potential client appropriateness for New Vision Wilderness.
Primary Wilderness Therapist
Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000
